Paddling To End Polio Thank You

Thank you for your donation to "Paddling To End Polio".

The fight to end polio worldwide will benefit because of you!

Paddling To End Polio

One of our local members, Rob McNamara, along with two friends, Stewart Brown and Michael Dempster are making a 300 mile canoe trip from Vergennes, Vermont to New York City by way of Lake Champlain, the Champlain Canal and the Hudson River.

The main objective of this canoe voyage is to raise awareness and financial support for one of Rotary’s main goal, to eradicate polio from the face of the earth.

Annual Rubber Ducky Race Fundraiser

Vergennes Day is just around the corner and Vergennes Rotary is gearing up for their annual Rubber Ducky Race. It will be held during the Vergennes Day weekend on Saturday, August 23rd. The ducks will be launched at the base of the Vergennes falls at 3:30 PM.

The proceeds from this annual fundraiser go toward supporting our youth. We sponsor the summer reading program "Booked for Bikes" and award 6 college scholarships each year. This is just a small part we play in investing in our youth, the community, and our future.

Tickets are $3.00 each, or 4 for $10.00. The First Place ticket holder will receive $250, Second Place receives $100, and Third Place receives $50.

We are also asking our business friends to help us support our kids’ educational dreams by sponsoring a Big Duck. The cost is only $ 50! The winner of this year’s Big Duck race will win a $250 donation to a charity of their choice.

If you would like to buy a ticket or sponsor a big duck just talk to one of the Vergennes Rotary members you know and they will be glad to help. You may also purchase your tickets (or sponor a Big Duck) right here using the "Buy Now" button below.

Tickets will also be on sale around town leading up to the race and in the park until 2PM the day of the race.

Thank you in advance for your support, it’s greatly appreciated.
